On the occasion of the Social Forum taking place today and tomorrow in Porto, I have published an article with Alba Huertas on the importance of a stronger social Europe in which recent European directives on minimum wages and wage transparency are implemented, while at the same time pending anti-poverty mechanisms, such as a minimum income directive, are put in place, complementing minimum incomes with other social benefits.
